The Lash Styles That Hold Up Best During Summer Heat
Summer is the season for all things fun! If Phineas and Ferb were to be believed, there's only 104 days of it - so best make use of that time!
For us and for sure many of you, lashes are a big deal. With the right pair, our confidence gets a boost, and we know we look good. But with the heat of the summer comes some extra challenges. Sweat, sun, and skin - all those become factors for the lash wearer.
So, what lashes work well in the summer?
Summer Lashes
A lot of our recs would gravitate towards the lighter and the shorter. The sun's out, and you want lashes to accentuate, not overtake. Here are some non-negotiables and a brief explanation as to why they're important.
Sweat-friendly features to look for:
Lightweight Construction
Heavy bands tug at the lash line and encourage glue to loosen. Opt for lightweight false lashes with a thin band or a flexible clear band. They feel less intrusive and are less likely to peel away when you perspire.
Breathable Fibres
Synthetic fibres that mimic silk are often more heat-resistant than natural fur. They dry quickly and do not absorb sweat the way some materials do.
Flexible Band
A soft, bendy band hugs the natural lash line better than a rigid strip. That means fewer gaps and less chance of the outer corner lifting.
Shorter, Layered Clusters
Long, dense lashes look dramatic but trap moisture and feel heavy. Clustered or wispy styles disperse weight and allow air to circulate.
Waterproof Adhesive Compatibility
Not all glues are created equal. Look for adhesives labelled waterproof or sweat-resistant and avoid glues that contain latex if you have sensitive skin.
If you ask us, choosing the most popular style isn't always the best. Your comfort and ease should be top priority - especially when it comes to something so close to your eyes.

Remember. You want lightweight false lashes because sweat may weigh yours down a bit. These lighter, more natural lashes can
Humble 10 mm: Let's start with the all-arounder. This is a short, bold lash that gives your peepers a little definition, all the while looking natural.
Modesty 8 mm: Our short queen! The perfectly named Modesty lash works splendidly for everyday, anywhere from road trips to barbeques.
Allure 10 mm: One of our best-selling lashes speaks for itself. They're a natural lash ready to take on just about every summer activity in mind.
Poise 8 - 11mm: The Poise is a wispy lash also great for summer. It is shorter, with 8 to 11 mm in length, but still can handle all your daily activities, with a little nighttime fun in mind.
How To Keep Them On and Neat In The Summer Heat?
- Use the right glue. Choose a waterproof, sweat-resistant adhesive. Apply a thin, even line and wait 20 to 30 seconds for it to become tacky. Tackiness is the secret to a strong bond.
- A strip that is too long will lift at the corners. So, trim to fit. Measure the strip against your eye and trim from the outer edge if needed.
- Prep the lash line. Cleanse away oils and moisturiser from the eyelid. Oil is the enemy of adhesion. Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser or micellar water and let the skin dry completely.
- Avoid touching your eyes. Seems like a given, but if something gets in your eye, best use a small towel instead of your fingers.
Pro Tip:
Always be prepared. Pack a small tube of waterproof glue, a pair of tweezers and a cotton swab. If a corner lifts, a dab of glue and a press with tweezers will usually fix it in seconds.
